ROYALTIES

We pay you when your music gets played, broadcast and streamed online – no need to stress about tracking it yourself! We take care of the boring paperwork, so you can stick to making incredible music.
If you create music, write lyrics or compose melody, the Malaysia Copyright Act 1987 gives you exclusive right to control, amongst others, the following rights:
- The performance, showing or playing to the public; and
- The communication to the public.
When your music plays on TV, radio, streaming services, in live performances or as background music, you are entitled for royalties.
Once you become our member, we manage these rights for you, collect your royalties and pay you whenever your music is used so you can spend all your time writing music and grow your music career.
We grant licences to businesses, broadcast stations, and individuals, allowing them to use your music. We pay you royalties after tracking your music from these sources:
- Television
- Radio
- Businesses
- Streaming Platforms
- Live Venues and Events
- Cinema
Whether it's your own concert or a festival appearance, your music's live performances can generate earnings for you both in Malaysia and around world.
All you need to do is log into your MyKarya and submit the details of the live performances.
