Mr Eric Yeo from Indie Works Sdn Bhd and Mr Ang Swee Giap of Like Music were elected as new publisher directors at the 23th AGM held on 27 June 2013. At the same meeting, En Ahmad Izham Omar, En Johan Mohamed Nawawi, Dato’ Mohd Nasir bin Mohamed and En Abdullah bin Mamat were also re-elected to the Board for a new 2-year term. The meeting also adopted the audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2012 and the Reports of the Directors and Auditors thereon after Chairman, Pn Habsah Hassan gave a report on the financial results and performance of the Company.

Messrs. Ernst & Young was also reappointed as the Company’s auditors. The notice of meeting together with the audited accounts and the Circular was circulated to members on 5th June 2013.

Members also took the opportunity to discuss certain issues such as licensing of on-line radio stations and mamak shops, calls to increase license fees paid by the Government for the use of the music, disciplinary action against members whose conduct are prejudicial to the interest of MACP, distribution sampling and a proposal to increase the UPA amount.
